Merry Christmas!
It's only been Christmas for 26 minutes here in the Pacific Northwest, but it is still Christmas, so I can cheerfully wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! Christmas is my favorite holiday, and there are so many pleasant traditions and memories associated with it for me. Every year is a little different. Sometimes we have company in, sometimes we don't. We're just sticking to a threesome celebration and a lowkey day, which will be fine.
I have two big reasons to be joyful. First of all, my wonderful, amazing God sent His Son to a sinful earth as a helpless infant in humble stable, Who then grew up to die on the cross. Through Him I have freedom, eternal life, fellowship with God, hope, joy, peace, and so much more. What a huge gift I could never repay! Secondly, the Lord has given me the love of a wonderful, charming, Godly, compassionate man named Dennis. It's overwhelming sometimes, because I don't feel particularly worthy of such love. I mean, of course I hoped and prayed for someone like him, and I hoped someone would cherish me and think I was wonderful, but perhaps it seemed unreal that would ever happen. God is good. He's worth waiting for. :-)
